Here’s what you need to add to cart to get your best summer hair ever.

Moroccanoil Smoothing Shampoo and Conditioner
When the temperatures rise, so, unfortunately, does humidity. Those with frizz-prone hair know the struggle of fighting the kinks with creams and gels. My best advice is to start with a good foundation in the shower with Moroccanoil’s Smoothing Shampoo and Conditioner.
This smoothing shampoo and conditioner duo has been a lifesaver for my thick, wavy, colour-treated blonde hair. Featuring Moroccanoil’s proprietary ingredient, both products restore depleted amino acids to strengthen and smooth hair while aligning its natural keratin structure. After just one use, strands are instantly nourished with antioxidant argan oil and argan butter, leaving you with healthy-looking, calm, manageable and smooth hair. Best of all, when used together, the results of this shampoo and conditioner can last up to 72 hours!
These products may be a little pricy, but they’re a fun splurge. They’re highly concentrated, they smell amazing – think musky, woody, rich notes of citrus, vanilla and amber – and will help you with styling, as your hair will hold better with this product in it. Whether frizz or fried ends are your hair concern, I highly recommend them. I also find that when I use this shampoo and conditioner, I can air-dry my hair in record time, which is such a bonus … because no matter how high your crank your air-conditioner, nobody wants to be using a hot blow-dryer on a sweltering December morning!
Top tip: For best results, shampoo twice, then gently squeeze excess water out of your hair and apply the conditioner from mid-length to ends. Leave it on for two to five minutes and then rinse well. If you don’t rinse the conditioner thoroughly, it can leave your hair feeling a little weighed down.

Moroccanoil Perfect Defense

You can’t mop without sweeping first, brush your teeth without flossing first … or put major heat on your hair without protecting it first. Enter Moroccanoil’s Perfect Defense – a weightless, dry aerosol heat protective spray.
This heat protectant’s nourishing argan oil and vitamin-fueled formula rehydrates the hair while protecting against the damaging effects of heat styling up to 230°C. I can’t stress enough how important it is to use a product like this in your daily routine – with no barrier between your hair and extremelyhigh blow-dryer temperatures, you’re essentially cooking your hair … with no oil to boot. But whether you’re exposing your crown to high or low heat, a heat protectant is a major key in combating breakage, brittleness, dryness and dullness.
This product’s fine aerosol spray ensures that your hair isn’t left feeling wet when you use it, which is important to me. Also, it really works! This heat protectant protects my hair from my flat iron and split ends, which I always used to get before I started using this. Besides making your hair feel crazy soft, it’s really the only product you need for a sleek blowout. I’ve gotten one of the sleekest, softest blowouts of my life with this stuff, even on my tape-in hair extensions that are prone to dryness. It really gives me that ‘just left the salon’ feeling every time I use it!
Top tip: Use this at the beginning of your styling routine before applying other products. Hold the bottle about six inches (15cm) away from your head and mist generously and evenly over damp hair. Comb it through your hair with a Tangle Teezer before blow-drying and styling with a hot tool. You can use it on dry hair for second-day touchups.

Moroccanoil Glimmer Shine
It’s not a surprise that Moroccanoil’s Glimmer Shine has achieved holy-grail status. Though it effortlessly enhances colour and highlights as well as adds a beautiful shine to hair that’s been in the ocean or pool, it doesn’t weigh down strands.
This finishing spray is the perfect final step to any style. Infused with argan oil, vitamins and antioxidants, it attracts and reflects light to give hair a gorgeous gloss. The invisible veil of pure, luminous shine also protects hair against harmful environmental elements such as sun, saltwater and chlorine. You don’t need a lot – my hair is halfway down my back and a tiny amount goes a long way, which makes it fantastic value. I especially love using this product after washing my hair with a purple shampoo, which tends to leave it looking and feeling dry. My hair just sucks it right up!
Keep in mind that because of this product’s alcohol-free formula, it needs extra time to absorb and dry, so it’s recommended to avoid manipulating hair while allowing it to set once applied. I usually let my hair ‘rest’ for three to four minutes. No matter how dry or parched your hair is, this finishing spray will add a superb shine and a great smell to your locks as well as tame flyaways and wispy strands. You can even leave it in as an overnight treatment and wash it out the next morning. You’ll see the wonderful absorption without any greasiness.
Top tip: Hold the bottle about 10 inches (25cm) away from your head and spray onto dry hair. Take care to use it very gently – don’t overspray it or spray it into your roots, or it will make your hair look oily. You can use your hands to ‘direct’ and distribute the mist above your hair’s surface.
