Opened by the same owner as Grace Skin & Wellness, Bev Courtney, Money to Blow is located right next door on 11th Street in Parkmore. Upon entering the pale pink-accented, plant-filled space, you’re greeted with a complimentary cup of tea or coffee (or glass of bubbly on Fridays). Next, you’re lathered with your choice of Kérastase or vegan, cruelty-free Kevin Murphy shampoo at one of the three washing stations. Blowouts cost R180 for short hair, R200 for medium length hair, R220 for long hair or R250 if you have hair extensions. There are many styles to choose from, ranging from pin-straight and tousled, to a top knot and fishtail braid.

The salon also offers cuts, colour, treatments and Brazilian blowouts as well as ethnic styling on braids and weaves. There’s even an in-house makeup artist, Ally, who offers everything from eye makeup to glam makeovers.
