Founded by girl-boss trio Anthea, Natasha and Cristina, Glow Couture uses spray tan solutions that are organic, vegan, paraben-free and cruelty-free, and has just opened a spanking new spray tanning studio in Illovo. The brand’s head office is located in Bedfordview, with studios in Fourways and Benoni too.

Kim, owner of the Illovo studio, is a marketing specialist who’d always wanted to open her own beauty business of sorts. So, why spray tanning, you ask? Kim had been searching Joburg high and low for a spray tan for herself that’s lightweight, lightly scented and, crucially, natural looking. Just as she was about to give up, she came across Glow Couture … and she instantly fell in love with everything about the brand. Fast forward to now and Kim has been professionally trained by the super-experienced brand owners to deliver a golden glow rather than anything worryingly fluorescent.

At her home-based studio conveniently tucked away on Central Avenue, Kim uses Glow Couture’s range of fuss-free, streak-free spray tan solutions that have an uplifting tropical scent that’s utterly moreish. She also offers Glow Couture’s signature setting powder that dries and sets your tan instantly as well as stocks some of their at-home must-haves, such as the luxe body lotion that keeps your skin hydrated so you don’t experience the typical dryness post-faux tan.
